Since i do not want to rock the boat can i wait till Sep 1st before i submit the address change else they would probably notice why i changed to a different city?

I am planning to file my 7th year extension and would appreciate some one who can provide some guidance. I have a pending I-485 (July 2007 filer).

We are open to all possibilities in getting relief (big or small) for the community.
You may want to read more about the process of a bill , politics of the immigration issue and how it affects any bill. It is not as simple as one line amendment.
Please get involved with IV and learn more what we are doing. Try getting appointments with your lawmakers and take part in action items. We currently have an action item going. You will know how the process of amendment and bills work. Opening threads asking IV core is not going to help.Help yourself by actively getting involved.
BTW Could you update/complete your profile. This data is helpful for IV advocacy efforts and also for IV tracker.

Yes there is no one-line amendment. But the objective of an amendment can be one line. That is what I mean. I saw many amendments before and am familiar with the political jargon. You are thinking that I am a novice when it comes to Immigration. That is ok and that is not the issue here.
Recently in one fundraising thread, I counted the number of retrogressed PD members contribution to others. Its in the ratio 1:5. The reason for this thread started at that time.
If members know that IV has the right strategy and right connections then the support to IV will be overwhelming. That is all I want to convey in the thread.

It not a computer glitch for sure. As the explanation goes like this:
we transferred this case I140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER to our LINCOLN, NE location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.
Even My I-140 status changed from approved to Initial Review when I received my I-485 RFE last few months ago. Though I used AC21 to change my old employer to new employer I-140 still shows initial review.

I am one of many people here waiting for the date to be able to apply for I-485 because of visa retrogression. I have 3 more H-1 years so I am considering changing a job in category EB2 so the process can be faster (my PD is Jan 2004 with approved I-140). My question is whether this position below can be considered in EB2 or not. To my knowledge on Eb2, it must be more than 5 years experience with BS or MS. I have a MS, but my work experience in US is total 4 years 4 months (intern 10 months in US during MS + 11 months with OPT after MS + 2yrs6months with H-1B).
This is just a part of the job description:
- BS Degree plus 3-5 Yrs experience or MS Degree plus 2 Yrs experience.

Hello everyone,
Here is my status..someone please clarify as my immigration attorney has different answers each time
1) I am on H1B status and recently transfered to a new H1B Employer and i got query last week.
2) My Husband is holding a L1B Visa and its valid till Nov 2011.
3) Can i apply for L2 now(without COS) while waiting for H1B Approval?? This will allow me to change to L2 if something happens to H1.
4) If i have my H1B approval i wish to stay and work on H1B.if not i will be moving to L2(leave the country and comeback ??)
Please post your prompt answers.

my h1b expires in october 2008. my passport expires in july 2007 and at the POE (Dallas), i received an I-94 till July 10th 2007.
i now have a new passport and went to the dallas/fort worth airport CBP to get the date corrected to october 2008. i took my I-797 with me and showed it to them. they said i have to file an I-539 with USCIS. several people managed to get the same situation remedied at a CBP. has anyone had success at another texas CBP? please help!

Ana Navarro, a Florida Republican activist who has been arguing that Republicans have a chance to seize the initiative from Obama on this issue and repair their image, e-mails, "Nobody knows when it is. Nobody knows who is going. Nobody knows what the agenda is."
"They are stringing along the immig[ation] advocates and Latino groups to whom Obama owes so much," she writes. "Latinos need to stand their ground, hold his feet to the fire and demand that he deliver on repeated promises to get this done within first year or call him out on it. This is a litmus test for Hispanics, and one which so far Obama is failing."
UPDATE: Frank Sharry of America's Voice, an administration ally, tells Gebe Martinez: "While we are disappointed that the meeting has been delayed, we are confident that immigration reform will move forward this fall. The President has promised to advance the issue many times, and we believe he is a man of his word."

She has H1B approved for 3 years for company A with start date of October 1, 2007. My company just filed both mine and my wife's I-485 and EADS.
Now, (Say for example), my wife receives the EAD which was filed though my company on August 1, 2007.
Questions are:
1. Can she work for the company A on EAD from August 1 - September 30 and then fall-back (re-instated) on H1B (already approved) from October 1 - next 3 years for the same company A ?
2. If she uses the EAD to work for the company A for a single day before October 1 (start date of her H1), will that invalidate her already 3 years approved H1B for the SAME company A?
I understand H1B is the best practice option and understand EAD canbe renewed yearly basis but unsure about relationship of EAD vs H1B (already approved) in the perspective of working from same company "A".

This meeting is very important especially in light of recent remarks from Sen. Harry Reid. We have to find out more information on the background discussions on this. There is a possibility that either Administration is serious about it and wants to give time for people to come with a consensus or this delay may cost us this year's CIR.
