Hello,
Last November I quit my job in the US and left the country as well. Two days ago, I received an email saying my 485 is approved, and card production was ordered. The card will go to an address in the US where someone can forward me the mail.
What should I do? Try to enter the U.S. with the card? What to say to POE officials? WIll I be questioned?

I am scheduled to close my refinancing (changing from conventional to FHA). Quicken Loan processed my loan - of course their charges are a lot more than others. The point is, I did not face any objections so far due to EAD status. Of course they asked my EAD copy a few times. Hope this helps!

I still no access to the donor forums for me. I've already sent 3 emails per the thread above. Is it really such a big deal to grant access to donor forum??

Anu has been out sick and will not be doing verification for next couple of months. Myself and other team members will handle this task in our spare time from other IV work and there could be delays. However we will try to have the delay only for 15 days at the most.

My I-94 is expiring in a month. I have used Advance parole to enter US after a vacation about a year back. How do I renew my I-94 card? Does anybody know...
I had the same issue when I travelled last year. My lawyer said we do not have to renew since AOS pending essentially allows you to stay till adjudication of the case is complete. He did however ask me to renew the EAD and AP.
Just to clarify I have not used my EAD. Still on H1B.

Adding to the scenario above, what if the old company (which got I-140 approval) agress to continue the GC process? In that case, can't we apply for H1 extension with Company B using approved I-140 with Company A? After all, GC is a future employment application

In case one is using EAD and 485 rejected for some reason. you have 180 days to safe guard one self.
please check other threads for detailed responses.

A federal judge has ordered USCIS to pay attorney Kip Evan Steinberg $25,000 in legal fees after the lawyer's client sued the agency to force it to complete processing in an adjustment of status green card case. USCIS tried to point the finger at the FBI for delays in the name check process, but the judge wasn't buying. The judge found the 151 hours the lawyer put in to the case to be reasonable. So 151 attorney hours were wasted, an individual waited years unnecessarily and America's taxpayers are out $25,000.

Yes it is possible, since until I find a job that I really like it will take some time, problably I can even negotiate to start after the 181th day.
Also, what would be the process? Does the new employer needs to notify INS that I am changing jobs? Os this can be done without advising anybody but the former employer?

My attorney says that I-485 should be filed at the same location where I-140 was filed (when I-485 & I-140 were not filed concurrently) Is this correct?

I hope they don't charge money for pre-adjucation, else this would be another scheme for money making!

Increase in H1B with out corresponding increase in visa numbers is bad for us. But the industry is all for it. They will get a ton of slave labor for the next 5-10 years.
Somebody needs to look at the issue of mismatch between increased H1-Bs and visa numbers for greencards. Otherwise the current green card backlog for some EB countries will only widen leading to untold suffering for people from many countries. Maybe they should have a new visa similar to H1 but which does not allow the holder to apply for a green card. The better solution is of course recapture of visa numbers. Simply increasing the H1-B quota will be quite detrimental.

Well.. we cannot reduce pdf size much by zipping as it is already compressed..
