1. Can we use AC21 provision without EAD card ?for 485 AOS -- NO
2. My H1 expires in Jan 2008. Do I need to have EAD card before that ? - If you wish to have one, You can apply EAD to use AC21 after 6 months /renew your H1 and continue working

How often does a denial happen in a case of H1 "transfer"? Do you know? Why would a transfer be denied?
How often is an H1 denied? I have no idea but it happened to me...twice!
The first time, the attorney screwed up. The company fired him ...and me as well since I was then out of status (long story that I will post someday, maybe...):mad: Second time, I never knew the details but the company appealed... and won.
All that can happen on any type of application of course. Everybody makes mistakes, and even without mistakes, no approval can never be guaranteed in advance.:(

I checked with my employer, they mentioned that I cannot apply for SSN before Oct 1 and would only be eligible post Oct 1. Any ideas !

Here is the proof that country cap is racially motivated. I can't believe that Ted Kennedy was behind this.

Sen Sessions is not only person who is opposing Cir/skil.There are many people in the Senate are opposing. Everyone knows that congress is evenly divided on immigration. But 10 Senators can make a big difference if some compromise bill is introduced. So anything can happen in next 2 months in immigration. Sometimes short time is advantage as they may pass bill in a hurry and lot of provisions may be passed without big visiblity.
No one can predict at this point of time. The optimism
is thinning every day. So far nobody could come up
with anything that is agreeable.
Our best friend Sen. Sessions is trying his best
to distroy any bill. Now he is trying to propose and
implement a point based system. Who know when
the point base system is ready for discussion he
will propose a DNA based system....
So my friend I'm scared to hope on immi
