tem is sitting at around 46-47 degrees C or 117 degrees F at idle. A bit better than before the MX-2 paste.
One other thing you can do is enable "nap mode". It lets the CPUs enter a low power state when they are idle. It does not hurt performance.
It can be enabled with the Processor prefpane included in CHUD 3.5.2 (http://www.jcsenterprises.com/Japamacs_Page/Odds_and_Ends_files/CHUD_3.5.2.dmg).
Note: on some G4s nap mode is already enabled by default.

I don't get why Americans like bigger cars.
So we could make you feel better about yourselves driving small cars.
More likely: In Europe and Asia, the cities were built before cars, so they have narrower streets. In the US, some big cities were built before cars, but most were built for wagon/car/whatever traffic and since there was so much empty space, they made more room for it.
I know, there is empty space in other countries. Got that. I also know that some people think we should live like sardines, but not having to worry about your neighbor's rowhouse catching on fire and burning yours down, or their filthy habits getting you sick is nice. It's also nice to not hear your neighbor flushing the toilet and/or what show they're watching on TV.
Yes, I understand if you live in a 350 year old building made out of 24" thick plaster/cement/adobe walls you won't hear your neighbor. OTOH, you probably don't have to worry about the ground shaking under you.. well, you might have to worry about the volcano nearby exploding into your house or something but.. that's different right?
Anyway, long story short, small cars fit small streets better.

Actually yes... If you cross the road without looking.. You deserve to get hit by a car. What the hell kind of example is that? If you're going to spend $450 on something, you should AT LEAST be smart enough to read the description of the product. I never once said the seller was right in doing so, so don't you dare call me a scum... Maybe you should re-read my post before you try and act like a smart guy. I think that is more proof of the fact that it was never a bug. Apple was doing it that way on purpose and the only reason they are claiming it was a "bug" is because they got caught big time.
The lie is the fact that it is a bug. It was done on propose and right now Apple is just doing CYA.
Given that the database is a local cache of some information that already exists on Apple's servers, what do Apple have to gain by designing it this way on purpose? Nothing.

As a professional photographer this thing is (and always will be) an "App Store" toy - nothing more.
The iPad will never have the horse power to do what pros need.

You mean people aren't exactly rushing out to buy the iPhone 4, as apple preps the iPhone 5 - shocking.
Why would apple or verizon be surprised.
Then why is this guy saying the iPhone 4 could be sold well into 2012 at the current sales level ? :confused:
I guess this means end of the year introduction (if even that) for iPhone 4S/5 (or what ever they will call it). In all honesty I'm not surprised. With the current sales Apple could easily be pushing iPhone all the way to early 2012.
Seriously, the older the iPhone 4 gets, the further away the competition is. I doubt Apple can milk that cow for much longer.

There have been countless miscarriages of justice (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_miscarriage_of_justice_cases#United_Kingdom) proved since the death penalty was banned in the UK and probably many others which have not yet been successfully appealed.
Many of these innocent people would have faced the death penalty, does that not concern you?

It is just some software that lets you transfer waypoints, tracks, and routes between your Mac and Garmin units...

I think Apple will deliver a solid update to Final Cut Pro. I think this lag was caused a bit by the transition to 64-bit and the fact that Apple didn't manage to get Quicktime X completed in time. I think the next version of FCP will be 64-bit and will come with a new version of Quicktime X which will finally put Quicktime 7 to rest.
I would be surprised if we saw a 64 bit fcp before Lion. Apples qtkit API, which is thie only QuickTime API that you can compile in 64 bit, is really, REALLY primitive. Its going to require massive updating befor you would even think of running something like fcp with it. You cannot do anything more advanced than splice two videos together with it now. Hell even enumerating all th e codecs you can export to requires going down to 32 bits, and even the stuff that does compile in 64 bit requires a separate 32 bit process to actually do the work. T e sad thing is that apple has had plenty of time to update this API but they have essentially done nothing with it, which shows you how much they care about the pro users nowadays :mad:
